What this is

A Go binary behind Caddy on one small Linux box. Content is markdown in git. There's no CMS, no database, and no build step that needs Node.

Set in Public Sans and IBM Plex Mono, both self-hosted and both open source. Two themes, paper and phosphor. Pages weigh under 60KB and need no JavaScript to render.

What it records

Right now, almost nothing. There are no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party scripts of any kind. The server writes access logs and that's it.

The one exception is the theme. If you switch between paper and phosphor, that choice is written to localStorage under the key theme so the site doesn't forget it on your next visit. It stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere. Clear it and the site goes back to following your system setting.

First-party analytics are coming. When they land, this page will say exactly what they collect before they collect it. The short version of the plan: path, referring hostname, country, device class, timestamp. No IP addresses written to disk, no cookies, no fingerprinting, and nothing shared with anyone.

There's no cookie banner because there's nothing to ask you about.

Why

I've spent years hardening other people's infrastructure and reading other people's privacy policies. Running this site on someone else's analytics would have been inconsistent.
